Airasia Cancellation Policy

Change of plans? We understand that sometimes your plans may change and you are no longer available to travel. Any request for a refund or cancellation that is voluntary in nature will be subject to existing airline policies. We will try our best to get the maximum refund on your behalf but as this request is voluntary in nature, please note that a refund might not always be available and that some carriers dont provide monetary compensation.

My Other Airlines flight got canceled or rescheduled to another day what should I do?
  1. You will receive a flight disruption / cancellation notice via email from us if this happens.
  2. Click Chat With Us in the flight cancellation email notification, and you will be directed to a LiveChat agent via AskBo.
  3. Click on Can I ask for a refund? and input reasons for refund - and submit the feedback form.
  4. You will receive a case reference number where you can follow up on the status of the refund.

Notes:

Flight disruption or cancellation notices are sent to the email address of the person who made the flight booking. If the person booking the flight and the traveler are different, kindly ensure to check the email of the person who made the booking. Our live chat service is available daily from 6.00 AM - 12.00 Midnight (GMT+8).

Voluntary refund request for low cost carriers (LCC)

Except for the following reasons, our low-cost carrier tickets are non-refundable and non-cancellable.

  1. Medical reasons
  2. Death of passenger or immediate family members
  3. Schedule change or disruption affected with retiming of 4 hours or more

As a travel agency, we have to adhere to the airline refund policy, whereby most LCCs do not offer a refundable fare. In due of the arrangement, your refund will be attendant on case to case basis, subject to the airline T&C.

Can I claim a refund based on the refund policies by country regulations?

For countries such as the United States, Korea, India, and other countries where refund regulations are applicable, kindly chat with us for your refund request via AskBo.

  1. Download the AirAsia MOVE app on the Apple App Store, Google PlayStore or Huawei App Gallery / or visit AirAsia MOVE website.
  2. Open AskBo on the AirAsia MOVE / website. Select No when prompted by Bo if you need assistance with your upcoming AirAsia flights
  3. Select Any Airlines .
  4. Then select Can I ask for a refund? to submit your refund request.

Disclaimer: The refund policies may be subject to change without prior notice. Should you be eligible for a refund under the airlines fare rules and conditions, a cancellation fee of MYR50 shall be applicable.
