British Airways Flight Change Policy

British Airways' flight change policies vary depending on the type of booking and fare conditions. Here's an overview:

Flight-Only Bookings:

Advance Changes: You can modify your flight date or time before departure. Change fees and any fare differences apply based on your ticket's fare rules.

Service Fees: In addition to change fees, a service fee may be charged, varying by country and booking method. For example, changes made online may incur lower fees compared to those made via contact centers or at the airport.

No-Show Policy: If you fail to notify British Airways before your flight's departure about changes, your ticket may become invalid for the remaining journey.

Package Holidays (Flight + Hotel/Car):

Advance Changes: Changes made more than 14 days before travel may incur a fee of £100/$130/€115. Changes within 14 days of travel may incur a fee of £500/$650/€575.

Cancellations: Canceling more than 28 days before travel typically results in the loss of the deposit. Cancelations between 72 hours and 28 days before travel may result in a loss of 60% of the total package price. Cancelations less than 72 hours before travel may result in no refund.

How to Change a Booking:

Online: Use the "Manage My Booking" feature on the British Airways website to make changes.

By Phone or In Person: Contact British Airways' customer service or visit an airport ticket office. Be aware that service fees may vary depending on the method used.

Important Considerations:

Fare Differences: When changing flights, any increase in fare must be paid at the time of modification.

Name Changes: Outside of the 24-hour cancellation policy, it's not possible to change the name on a ticket, as tickets are non-transferable. A new booking would need to be made for the new traveler.
